The Perception of Academic Plagiarism in Industrial Engineering Students at a Public University in Lima

The objective of this research was to study the perception academic plagiarism as a dishonest behavior and factors that characterize it in industrial engineering students at public university Lima. This work corresponds basic type with quantitative approach, non-experimental design cross-sectional descriptive level. From operational field, variable plagiarism, its dimensions were knowledge, motivations practices. population consisted 2145 students, intentional non-probabilistic sampling carried out, resulting sample 155 8th 9th cycles university. For data collection, questionnaire designed 35 questions referring dimensions, each question having five response options according Likert-type scale which answered virtually by students. results from point view reflect 56.1% perceived negative way 43.9% an irrelevant way. In inferential did not show significant statistical differences (p > 0.05). conclusion, most believe is affects their education unethical dishonest.
